The 2014 Fontarca, D’Alessandro’s Viognier, is a very pretty wine. White orchard fruit, sweet floral notes, mint, spice and apricot are all nicely pushed forward. Drink this gracious, mid-weight white over the next year or two.

“A pretty white with slice papaya and lemon character. Full body, crisp acidity and a long flavorful finish. Drink now.”
  • 89 pts Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
“A pure expression of Viognier, the 2013 Fontarca is a luminous, bright and citrusy wine. The bouquet shows sure signs of freshly squeezed lemon, crushed mineral, white peach and sweet almond. In fact, the aromas are atypical for Viognier, a grape that is usually heavier and more viscous in texture. But this expression is beautifully buoyant, crisp and clean.”
